Paul Ray Bain

It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Paul Ray Bain, who left this world on November 7, 2025, at the age of 71. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and tireless worker, Paul’s life was a testament to the strength and steady commitment that define true greatness. Born on January 10, 1954, Paul built a life centered around faith, family, and hard work. He believed that love was best expressed through action and he lived that belief every day. Whether it was lending a hand to a friend, spending countless hours caring for school grounds, or fixing what was broken before anyone else even asked, Paul’s hard work for those he cared about spoke louder than words ever could. He was the rock of his family, the one who showed up without fail, who led not with speeches but through example. To his family, he was a teacher of integrity and perseverance. To his friends, he was a steadfast companion- the kind of man who would give you his time, his tools, and his whole heart without hesitation. Paul Bain built his career and respect from his community through over 40 years of teaching, coaching, and school service at Oxford High He was a dedicated, lifelong member of Trinity Baptist Church. He taught Auto Body for the Oxford High School Vocational Department. Paul built a legacy of service with his hands, his heart, and his presence. This legacy lives on through the lives he taught, mentored, and the countless ways he made his community a better place. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Campbell Bain, his children Amy Bain Carter (Jordan) and Jeffrey Paul Bain (Ashley), and his grandchildren Grey Johnson, Anna Grace Johnson, Reid Johnson, Jaxon Bain, and Jacob Carter, brothers David Bain (Debbie), Phil Bain (Charlene), and sister, Martha Boling, mother-in-law Vera Jean Campbell, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonniel and Jean Bain, and grandparents J.Chester and Arilla Munroe and Henry Albert and Lillie Bain, father-in-law Hubert Nelson Campbell, and brother-in-law Les Boling. A celebration of Paul Bain’s life will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church in Oxford, visitation with family from 1:00-2:00, and graveside burial to follow at Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Campbell, Brandon Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Kyle Garmon, Darryll Cline, and PJ McKim. The family respectfully requests no flowers or donations.
