Mr. Douglas Earle Turner

A time of gathering for Mr. Douglas Earle Turner, 63 of Delta, will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Yoki Buffet located at the Quintard Mall from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Mr. Turner passed away on June 26, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Kisha Leann Turner (Daniel Green) and Jessica Danielle Turner (Josh Savard); beloved companion, Robbi Clements and her children: Warren Clements (Cristy) and Daniel Clements (Davina); grandchildren, Mckenzie Gritzinger, Colton Green, Hadley Savard, Reagan Savard, Kennedy Savard, Jaylin Savard, Kori Savard, Maverick Savard, Elaina Clements, Julia Clements; brother, Merle Turner; bonus daughter, Brandy Morrison; life-long friend, Vic Tankersly; half-sister, Beth Lefever (Doug); half-brother, Bill Garber II (Andrea); step father, Bill Garber; step sisters, Deb Garber and Julie Long, and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Turner; mother, Patricia Garber; grandmother ‘Maw’, Pearlie Turner; brother, Monty Turner, and his aunt, Ann Fulmer. Doug dedicated 39 years of service to Anniston Army Depot, where he worked in many different capacities throughout his career. His commitment, work ethic, and excellence earned him numerous awards before his well-deserved retirement. Outside of work, Doug found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether he was casting a line on the lake, riding a jet ski, sitting on the dock, or simply spending time on the water, he was happiest surrounded by nature. An avid fisherman and lifelong outdoorsman, he never missed an opportunity to enjoy God's creation. He was also a devoted Auburn Tigers fan who enjoyed keeping up with the news, especially Fox News, and never hesitated to share his opinions with those around him. Doug will be remembered most for the way he loved his family. He was the very best father to his daughters and a proud, devoted grandfather. His grandchildren were among his greatest blessings. Kind, gentle, and endlessly loving, he had a remarkable gift for making people feel valued and at ease. He was the kind of person who made life fun—never putting pressure on anyone, always ready with a witty comeback, a little sass, and a smile that could lighten any moment. Whether gathered around a table enjoying crab legs or spending a day on the water, the moments shared with him became treasured memories. Above all, Doug lived with integrity. His moral compass always pointed north, and he led by quiet example through his honesty, loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to him. His legacy is one of laughter, strength, kindness, and a family who will forever be grateful to have called him Dad, Grandpa, and friend. He is so deeply loved.
