Ms. Sarah L. Byers

A time of gathering for Ms. Sarah Lee Carrington Byers, 68 of Anniston, will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford, Alabama. Ms. Byers went Home to be with her Lord on March 17, 2022. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Audra Byers, DeWanna (Anthony) Miller, DeMarcus Byers, all of Anniston, and Charles (Colette) Alexander of Dallas, GA; companion of 46 years, Charles Maddox; siblings, Sarah Carrington, Angela (Lawrence) Winters, both of Flint, MI, Linda and Diane Carrington, both of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle and Marlesha Jones, both of Los Angeles, CA, Walter (Denita) White of Flint, MI, Ernest, Danny, Johnny, and Frank Jones, Jr., all of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Ramone, Rashad, Rashon, Keshana, DeMarcus Jr., Daquan, Rodelle, Deriante, Chelonde, Quinyon; 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Byers, where there was one child from their union; mother, Cora Lee Jones; father, Julius Carrington; brothers, Alonzo Jones and Julius Carrington, Jr.; stepmother, Ozell Carrington. Ms. Byers was born in Hempstead County, Arkansas to the parentage of Cora Lee Stuart and Julius Carrington, on January 1, 1954. She was a loving and caring spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be sorely missed by all those who loved her.
