Mr. Ralph S. Vaughn

A Celebration of Life for Ralph S. Vaughn, “Paw-Paw Ralph” will be February 22, 2022 at Iron City Baptist Church (41 Mandy Lane Anniston, AL 36207) at 3:00 pm. The family will welcome visitors at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 prior to the service. Robyn Snider will welcome guests and Cody Hale will officiate. Ralph passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 22, 1940 to Ira and Lois Vaughn. He was the youngest of 8 siblings- brothers Hulon, Wayne, and Ronald Vaughn and sisters Ruby Cheatwood, Mary Ellen Osborne, Willard Thrasher, and Toye Thrasher. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Renfroe Vaughn; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Tony Snider, Rhonda and David Heifner, Vic and Terry Daniel; five grandchildren Jesse Heifner (Sebrina), Blake Snider (Jessica), Rachel Snider, Raphe Daniel, Vaughan Daniel; Four Great-grandchildren, Brielle Heifner, David Heifner, Halli Snider, Jake Snider. And also his siblings Wayne Vaughn, Toye Thrasher and many nieces and nephews. Ralph retired from Goodyear after 32 years. He was known for his willingness to help others and was loved by many. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He served as a member of Iron City Baptist Church. He decided to trust Jesus as his Savior at the age of 58. This made a difference in his earthly life and where he is spending eternity. He would say that is the most important thing you should know about him.
