Mrs. Linda Camp Barnett

January 4, 1944 - October 6, 2018

A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Linda Camp Barnett, 74, of Oxford, will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Bro. Richard O’Connor officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. Mrs. Barnett passed away on October 6, 2018. She is survived by her son, Jason Barnett (April); brother, Nathan Camp (Ernestine); grandchildren, Jasey Barnett, Jenna Barnett, Davis Barnett and Evie Barnett, and a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Barnett; parents, Cecil ‘Runt’ and Mary Camp; brother, Son Camp and sisters, Mary Ruth Harmon and Ann Stephens. Mrs. Barnett was a graduate of Munford High School and Jacksonville State University. She then went on to touch many lives as a teacher with the Oxford School System. She taught P.E., history and coached various girls’ sports for 30 years until she retired. Even after retirement, she went to work at Friendship Learning Center where she continued to touch the lives of children. Mrs. Barnett was always willing to help, in any capacity she could. Mrs. Barnett’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, and to her sitters, Pat Brooks, Lindy Steward, Kaci Thrower and Tanquella Fegans. Mrs. Barnett was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
