A funeral service for Mrs. JoAnn Canada, 78 of Anniston, will be on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 12:30 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home. Jake Hale and John Gurley will be officiating. A burial will follow the service at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends on the same day from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Mrs. Canada passed away on July 8, 2020. She is survived by her children, Ricky Wayne Canada (Venicea), Connie L. Gurley (John C.), Rhonda J. Canada, Celena Ann McVey (Darrell); grandchildren, Shasta Marie Canada (Chase), Ricky Shane Canada, Justin Wayne Canada (Brittney), Krista DeAnn Gurley (Logan), Chrisjon Gurley, Craig Edward Cain (Layla), Kayla Jeanette Cain, Blake Eugene McVey (Stephanie), Darrell Logan McVey (Haley); great grandchildren, Austin Canada, Carter Canada, Layton Canada, Dalton Dillard, Brodie Dillard, Carson Blake McVey, Alexis Ann McVey, Nolan Scott McVey, Morgan Delilah McVey, Chloe Leann McVey, Justice Neveah Hope McVey, Connor E. Cain, Kye S. Cain; siblings, Jerry Collins, Alice Harris, Marty Collins, Peggy Hale, Junior Collins, Ellis Collins, Johnnie Faye Ray, and a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Canada. Pallbearers will be Craig Cain, Blake McVey, Logan McVey, Chrisjon Gurley, Justin Canada, and Logan Magourik. Mrs. Canada was a special woman who had an unconditional love for her family. She was the strongest woman you could ever meet. She was truly the rock and glue of the family.
