Mr. James Landers

May 20, 1933 - March 23, 2022

A graveside service for Mr. James Landers, 88 of Oxford, will be on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mike Yates and Bill Turner will be officiating. Mr. Landers passed away on March 23, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Landers; children, Sheila Ervin, Donna Mitchell, Dearl Landers (Leeanne); grandchildren, Brandon Johnson (Audrey), Dustin Johnson (Whitney), Christina Godfrey (Jared), Michael Landers, Coplin Mayben (Brandon); 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Eugene Landers (Margaret) and Pat Strickland, and several extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Landers, and parents in law, Arlin and Myrtle Williamson. Pallbearers will be Brandon Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Indiana Johnson, Michael Landers, Jared Godfrey, and Brandon Mayben. Mr. Landers retired after 41 years of service from Blue Mountain Industries. He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting. Mr. Landers was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to Mr. Landers favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, caretakers, family and friends who loved and cared for Mr. Landers and his family.
