Born April 12 1945, died February 3, 2022. Preceded in death by, Father: Mancle Carter and Mother: Sadie Bradley Carter and Dwight Carter, Infant son Elery Dewitt Carter, Oldest Brother Neil Anderson Carter, Twin Brother Marion Carter, Sister Charlotte Carter Hendricks. He is survived by his loving wife Jannia F. Phillips of 52 years Son Mitchell David Carter. Grandchildren: Ean Mitchell Carter, Sullivan David Carter and Charlotte Dianna Carter. God-grandkids Hunter, Hayden and Hadley Burch. ( Children of David and Alicia Burch) Great God-grand-kids Kennedy, James and Randall Burch, Parents of Hunter and Shelby Burch. Mitchell was a Meat Cutter until retirement. He played the guitar and piano and wrote over 450 gospel songs. Just for a hobby for the entertainment and enjoyment for him and his wife and close friends. At the time of his death he was a pastor of the Macedonian Baptist church, Coosa County Road 150. Placing of his ashes at Sycamore Baby’s grave.. Special honorees is that of Nieces and Nephews Children of Raymond and Charlotte Hendrick: Amanda Hartsfield, Gloria Thomas, Melissa Cook and Angel Lucker Children of Neil and Becky Carter: Paul Carter, Joan George, and Donna Thomas children of Kenneth and Ozzie Carter: Kenneth (Chuck) Carter, Karen Parker and Teresa Johnson Children of Marion and Kay Baxter Gray: Joey Carter, Jamie Carter, and Beth Aldaher Children of Roger Kelly Carter and Janie Heath Carter: Jonathan Carter and Rachel Harriger Joey Carter { Mia } and Jamie { Rena } Carter will conduct the graveside.
