    Ms. Georgia 'Aleene' Wesson

    March 4, 1930 - November 13, 2021

    A funeral service for Ms. Georgia ‘Aleene’ Wesson, 91 of Oxford, will be on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home. A burial will the follow the service at Munford Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Pate officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Ms. Wesson passed away on November 13, 2021 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Billy Harden (Eva), Glenn Harden (Vera), Annette Stearman (Jeff), Karen Hall (Bobby); grandchildren, Dewayne Harden (Lisa), Darrell Harden, Brad Harden, David Harden, Kimberly Weymers (Jon), Ricky Curtis (Glazel), Jamie Duffner (Derick), Charles Johnson, Wesley Johnson (Jill), Katrina Stearman, Miranda Vinson (Bobby), Hanna Grogan (Cameron); numerous great and great great grandchildren; siblings, Billy Wesson (Tina), Bobby Wesson (Gaye), Linda Wesson, and a host of extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Wesson; siblings, Lorene Harris, Laverne Wesson, Jim Wesson, Doris Kennedy, Larry Wesson, and her daughter, Sherry Curtis. Pallbearers will be family members. Ms. Wesson was a Christian and loved serving her Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Oxford Senior Center where she was very active in the center. Ms. Wesson made friends with many and anyone who met her, fell in love with her. Ms. Wesson loved her home and having her family there. She was an amazing cook and made the best homemade biscuits and banana pudding around. She was a great artist and enjoyed looking at old photographs of her family. Ms. Wesson was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who love her.
