Mr. Fred 'Junior' Holmes III

June 1, 1979 - April 24, 2020

A funeral service for Mr. Fred ‘Junior’ Holmes III, 40 of Oxford, will be on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home. Pastor Eric Snider will be officiating. A burial will follow the service at Dogwood Trail Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Holmes passed away on April 24, 2020. He is survived by his sons, Kurtis Donald Holmes (Alexus), Christian Jacob Holmes, Dylan Alexander Holmes and Ayden Christian Holmes; father, Fred Holmes Jr.; mother, Priscilla Ramona Pitts; spouse, Tina Langley Blanks, and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Lynn Holmes; grandparents, Fred Holmes Sr. and Mary M. Holmes, and Tommy and Edna Pitts. Pallbearers will be Kurtis Donald Holmes, Christian Jacob Holmes, Dylan Alexander Holmes, Ayden Christian Holmes and Fred Holmes Jr. Mr. Holmes was a one of a kind man. He always put other first and was willing to help in any way he can. He truly had a heart of gold. Mr. Holmes love woodworking, working and fixing trucks and being with his boys. He was a loving and caring father and son and will be deeply missed by all those that knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
