Mrs. Evelyn Martin

May 10, 1933 - January 7, 2021

A funeral service for Mrs. Evelyn Martin, 87 of Anniston, will be on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Mrs. Martin passed away on January 7, 2021. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Diane Angles, Carol Grabowski (Jim), Neal Martin (Kathy); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Leatherwood; brother, Alfred Pruett, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Martin; son, Perry Martin; her parents, Frank Marion Pruett and Gertrude Brown Pruett and siblings, Edison, Joe, Charles, Earnest, Louis, Jeanette and Geneva. Pallbearers will be Joshua Angles, Dakota Martin, Dalten Martin, Tommy Gorum, Keiton Martin, and Chris Reamy. Mrs. Martin was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a graduate of Oxford High. She retired from Anniston Sports Wear after 41 years of service. Mrs. Martin was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Anniston. She had been a member of the church for over 80 years. At the church, she was a Sunday School teacher, active in the choir and was on the missions board. Mrs. Martin was a loving and caring mother, Maw Maw, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.
