A funeral service for Mr. Charles ‘Charlie’ E. Hardin, 81 of Oxford, will be on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home. His grandson, Timothy Holley, will be officiating. A burial will follow the service at Eulaton First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Hardin passed away on June 26, 2020 surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, granddaughter, grandson and great grandson. He is survived by his wife, Judy Huff-Hardin; children, Tony Hardin, Tammie Epps (Alan), Angie Hardin (Roger), Jack Huff (Maria), Jeremy Huff (Carmen); grandchildren, Kasey Holley, Tim Holley (Kendra), Brad Hardin (Samantha), Christy McWilliams, Chole Jenkins (Patrick), Myhles Huff, Zachary Huff, Felicia Reece, Tyler Rister, Evan Rister; great grandchildren, Kaleb Holley, Chandler East, Lexie Howell, Madison Ray, Hunter Ray, Karson Holley, Nellie Holley, Ella Jenkins, Victoria Perry, Matthew Hardin, Mason Hardin, Payton Rister and Dax Rister; brothers, Herbert Hardin (Dean), Monroe Hardin; cousins, Bernice Parker, Tony and Cathy Parker; special friends, Rick and Nancy Knoles, Kenny Buckhannan, Wayne Hollingsworth, Tom Roszell, and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Annie Mae Hardin; son, Charles Hardin Jr. (Angela); brothers, Billy Hardin, Wayne Hardin; close friend and mother to his children, Mary Hardin. Pallbearers will be Timothy Holley, Kaleb Holley, Jack Huff, Jeremy Huff, Wayne Hollingsworth, Kenny Buckhannan, Karson Holley, Chandler East and PawPaw’s little girl, Nellie Kate. Mr. Hardin enjoyed watching Alabama Football games. He was passionate about the Talladega Short Track ‘The Hornet’s Nest’. He loved racing when he could but also enjoyed being in the stands. One of his biggest loves and enjoyments was being on the river with his family and friends. He loved being outside where he was never far from a chainsaw or a lawnmower. Mr. Hardin was a loving and a caring husband, father, PawPaw and friend and will be deeply missed by all those that had the great pleasure of knowing him.
