Mr. Billy Bryant

March 30, 1936 - March 16, 2022

A funeral service for Mr. Billy Bryant, 85 of Heflin, will be on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Happy Hill Baptist Church. Rev. George Pike and Rev. Wayne Pike will be officiating. A burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on the same day from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the church. Mr. Bryant passed away on March 16, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his children, Cathy Pike (Richard), Frankie ‘Billy’ Bryant (Rita), Scotty Bryant; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Claudette Whatley, Annette Vice, Tony Bryant, and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bryant; parents, Jason and Mildred Bryant; daughter, Inez Bryant, and 6 brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Gable, Tim Bryant, Shane Cosper, Brad Whatley, Eddie Whatley, Rodney Vice, and Mark Vice. The pallbearers will be wearing their caps in honor of Mr. Bryant. Mr. Bryant enjoyed working in the woods and being a logger. He worked in the logging business until he was 78 years old. He enjoyed going to Tennessee and being in the mountains. He loved working in his garden, growing flowers and vegetables. Mr. Bryant loved being on his riding lawn mower and spending his time cutting his grass. Mr. Bryant loved everyone and lived life to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor and laughing. Mr. Bryant was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who love him. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice for the love and care shown to Mr. Bryant and his family.
