    Mr. Barry Glenn Hollingsworth

    February 16, 2021

A graveside service for Mr. Barry Glenn Hollingsworth, 63 of Lincoln, will be on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 3:30 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church with Steve Hale officiating. A visitation will be on the same day from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm at Miller Funeral Home. The family requests that those in attendance please dress casually. Mr. Hollingsworth passed away on February 16, 2021. He is survived by his daughter, Charlee Norred (Correy); sons, Ben Hollingsworth (Phe) and Nick Hollingsworth (Tabatha); grandchildren, Ava Hollingsworth, Braden Hollingsworth, Aliyah Hollingsworth, Campbell Norred, Holland Norred, Harper Hollingsworth; brothers, Terry Hollingsworth, Willie Hollingsworth (Tammy), Chris Hollingsworth (Sam); sister, Tammy Hazlewood, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathryn Hollingsworth; maternal grandparents, Major and Edna Johnston; his paternal grandparents, and his brothers, Joe Hollingsworth and Blane Hollingsworth. Pallbearers will be Blake Hollingsworth, Brad Hollingsworth, Devin Hollingsworth, Koley Gilmer, Bryan White, Jimmy Hollingsworth, and Travis Hollingsworth. Mr. Hollingsworth worked with Stuckey’s for over 35 years. At the young age of 17, he became a supervisor over his first store. He retired in April 2020 from Petrey Novelty with over 15 years of service. Mr. Hollingsworth loved attending rodeos and watching Western movies. He was an Alabama football fan. He enjoyed being outside, whether that was hunting, fishing, or playing golf with his friends. He loved being on his farm where he farmed cows. He found his peace cutting hay and bushhogging on his farm. Mr. Hollingsworth loved spending anytime he could with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Hollingsworth always stood for what was right, no matter the cost. He was a giver and a helper and was willing to help anyone, without expecting anything back. He was a joker, a talker, a social butterfly who knew people all over the United States and had more energy that most twenty-year-old’s. In lieu of flowers, please consider bringing a donation to the funeral home to leave with the family so they can plant a tree on Mr. Hollingsworth’s farm in his memory. Due to the current COVID-19 protocol, all those in attendance of the services for Mr. Hollingsworth will be asked to wear a facial covering properly and will be advised to be socially distant.
