With extreme heavy hearts we announce that Larry Donald Morrow age 82 born September 21,1941 passed away at Noland Long Term Health Care located inside of Regional Medical Center on Friday night July 26, 2024 from a short illness with his loving wife by his side. His family would like to thank all nursing staff and his team of doctors that worked for him and with him through the grace of God. He was a life long resident of Oxford, Alabama. Attended Oxford City Schools and a Member of Trinity Baptist Church in Oxford. Retired from National Gypsum Co. after long year's of dedication and hard work with much pride. Larry was proceeded in death by his devoted loving Mother, Doris Nelson Baker and Step Father that raised him as his own, George Dewey Baker. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Carolyn Clay Morrow, only child (daughter), Terrye Morrow Beaujolais; two grandchildren Dana Nichole Riley, Billy Donald Clark; six great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Larry had such a love for antique cars and trucks, Alabama football, listening to classic country and the classic 50's and 60's hit songs, and yes he would tempt to dance to them. He enjoyed lakes, rivers and oceans. He loved being with his family and friends when possible. He will remain forever in our hearts, remembered with love and respect, also for the love and respect he gave. Larry would like to let you know that his work here on earth is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with God, family and friends he has not seen in a long time, he excepted with faith and grace. Instead of flowers, Larry would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone less fortunate than yourself and in need. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Miller Funeral Home from 10:00am until 11:00am. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Brother C.O. Grinstead officiating. Burial will be at ForestLawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Haney, Mark Haney, David Shedd, Tommy Gregory, Marlon Wages, Rowan Bussy and Honorary Pallbearer (great grandson) Hayden Riley. Earth has no sorrow Heaven can't heal.
