Doyle I Ingram

Doyle Ivey Ingram, 66, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. He was the loving husband to Sheila Padgett Ingram. They shared 27 years of marriage together. Born in Jefferson County, he was the son of Myrtle Ingram and the late William (Bill) Ivey Ingram. Doyle was the father to three children: Scott Ingram, Lesley Bean, and Emily Meyer. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1967. He attended the University of Alabama for two years, then transferred and graduated from Jacksonville State University with a BS degree in business and management. He worked his entire life in sales and management holding various jobs throughout the years. He started his career with his father in mobile home sales, worked offshore in Louisiana on an oil rig, and he worked building campers. He then started as a car salesman with Sunny King in Oxford. He was a salesman and later Sales manager at Sunny King for many years. He continued as an entrepreneur with National Wireless Cable in the early 90’s. He began working with Clayton Homes in 2002. He felt honored to be inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame for Clayton Homes. Most recently he had “retired” and was enjoying life on the lake. He was a member of Word Alive Church. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed many activities from fishing to gardening to working with his flowers. He loved jug fishing for catfish and spent hours just fishing at his home. He had a great love for capturing every memory and moment in a photograph. He took thousands of pictures of sunsets, hummingbirds, eagles, his catch of the day, his dogs and cats, and most importantly, his family and loved ones. He is survived by Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sheila Padgett Ingram; his mother, Myrtle Ingram; his children: Scott Ingram, Lesley Bean (Marty), Emily Meyer (Jason); 7 grandchildren: Rachel McCormick; Tanner, Hunter, and Hannah Ingram; Lexie Daugherty; Brooklyn and Brody Bean; his sisters: Judy Bonorato (Larry) and Brenda Douglas (Jessie). He has 1 niece, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces and 3 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Ivey Ingram, and his brother Elbert Alan Ingram. Pallbearers are Matt Johnson, Tanner Ingram, Aaron Bonorato, Jason Blumenstein, Terry Padgett, and Ben Padgett. Honorary pallbearers are Jamy Padgett and Hunter Ingram. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. He was loved by many and will be remembered as a caring individual who loved life and his family. His famous greeting of I’m DOYYYLLLLEEE Ingram will live in the hearts and memories of all who knew him.
