Mrs. Barbara (Bobbie Jean) Fowler Parks met her loved ones in heaven on Saturday, September 16, 2023. She was 86 years old. Barbara and her husband Ed ran Mom’s Diner Dairy Maid on Hwy 202 and AAA Fireplace for many years. At Mom’s Diner she would get up early to prepare her made from scratch biscuits so her customers could enjoy them hot and fresh for breakfast. She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Parks; son Anthony Parks and daughter Theresa Savoy, along with her parents Lonnie and Flora Fowler, siblings Melvis Fowler, Verna Lewis, Bennis Fowler, Dennis Fowler, Opealene loveless and Donald Fowler, sons-in-law Ricky Smith and Earl Savoy; daughter-in-law Connie Mathews and great grandson Parker Grammer; special fur babies, Pepe and Peanut. She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Key (Steve), Janet Smith and Amanda Morrow; son Don Rogers; grandchildren Stephanie Hendrix (Matt); Steve “Fuzz” Key; Jason Smith; Rick Smith; Patrick Grammer; Dusty Grammer; Kate Rogers; Abigail Rogers; Brandi Jean Savoy; Ashley Savoy; Kristopher Morrow(Ruthie); Nick Morrow; Savannah Johns (Jonathan); Brent Conner; Kylee Conner; great grandchildren Megan, Trey, Emma, Mason, Caitlyn, Connor, Collin, Charlie, Walker, Riley, Noah, Naomi, Nathan, Carson, Gunner and Wyatt and several nieces and nephews; special beloved fur baby, Major. We would like to say a special thank you to her caregivers whom she loved dearly Paul and Kim Vallee and Janet Smith along with Enhabit Hospice and her favorite nurse Barry. A visitation will be held Thursday September 21, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the Toby Miller Chapel starting at 1:00pm with Brother John Howell. She will be laid to rest at Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Fuzz Key; Patrick Grammar; Dusty Grammar; Jason Smith; Paul Vallee; Kristopher Morrow; Jonathan Johns and Matt Hendrix. Honorary Pallbearers are Nick Morrow, Trey Key, Shane Fowler, Rick Smith, and Brent Morrow. Barbara loved visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. The family will be accepting flowers in honor of Mrs. Barbara.
