Austin Bryant Chappell was born to Jeff and Cynthia Chappell on January 13th, 1993. Austin tragically and unexpectedly lost his life in a terrible work related accident on June 24, 2023 at just 30 years old. Our family is heartbroken over the sudden loss of Austin and we will miss him for the rest of our earthly days. He was the jokester of the family always looking for opportunities to make someone laugh. He never met a stranger and was a friend to so many. He was as stubborn as they come, but also thoughtful and compassionate. He was all the good things in such a harsh world and it’s hard to imagine our lives without him. He was so full of life and taken too soon. Austin was a 2011 graduate of Lincoln High School. After high school, his drive for adventure and thrill took him on a journey where he spent several years as a bull rider traveling to rodeos all across the south. Although he never hung up his boots or cowboy hat, he did retire from rodeoing to then become a Union Journeyman Lineman and was currently employed for Local 443 for the IBEW. Austin traveled all over the US and to other countries serving others as a lineman. He took great pride in his work and did it well. He made his family proud. Austin is a husband to his wife, Sara who he loved with his entire being. He is the best daddy to his daughter, Vanessa who is his entire world. He is a son to Jeff and Cynthia. He is a little brother to Whitney and a big brother to Laynie. He is a grandson to Billy, Jane, Terry and Elaine. He is a nephew, cousin and friend. He is so loved and grieved by so many. Austin loved being outdoors and adventure. Anything from hunting with his dad and Sara to teaching Vanessa to golf, going to a concert or a hockey game, he loved it all. He loved life and he lived it. He will be forever loved and remembered by his surviving family members, wife, Sara Chappell, daughter Vanessa Chappell, father, Jeff Chappell, mother, Cynthia Chappell, sisters, Whitney Chappell O’Kelley (Grant) and Laynie Grace Chappell, grandparents, Billy and Jane Chappell, Terry and Elaine Paris, Aunts and Uncles, Greg Chappell (Rhonda), Traci Parris Briggs (Alan), Jason Chappell (Crystal), first cousins, Andy Parris, Meagan Chappell Tice (Jeremy), Emily Chappell, Jacob Briggs (Charlee), Turner and Cooper Chappell as well as many other close family members and friends. We know there was a great big welcome by all his friends and family members waiting for him in heaven. A visitation will be held on Friday June 30, 2023 at Eastaboga Baptist Church from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will be on Saturday July 1, 2023 at Eastaboga Baptist Church starting at 4:00pm. A graveside service will follow at the Parris Family Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama.
