Arlie Mae "Faye" Jones Brown

Arlie Mae “Faye” Jones Brown, was born on July 4, 1935, and passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her faithful lab Abby at her feet, on June 4, 2026. Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home in the Patrick Miller Parlor from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Arlie's funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Her graveside service will follow at Dogwood Trail Memorial Garden Cemetery. Dr. Roland Brown and Reverend Tim Shultz will be officiating the services. Music will be directed by Brance Taylor. She is survived by her daughter Judy Clark (Wayne) of Oxford, Alabama; sons Jack Brown (Joyce) and Jim Brown (Anita), both of Alexandria, Alabama; son in law Wilbur Wood; grandchildren Jo Anna Clark Davis (Billy), Candice Patenaude (Eric), Leah Jones, Jordan Canning, Issa Brown (Nicole), Chanda Howard (Harold), Amber Thompson, and Jessica Sparks (Kenneth); and great grandchildren Caulder Bo Patenaude, Kai Avery Jones, Mia Faye Davis, Leo Davis, Jones Rollins, Ames Rollins, Ty Osman, Colt Osman, Steven Howard, Piper Howard, Jocelyn Smith, Xander Sparks, and Will Arnwin. She is preceded in death by her parents Reverend Russell Daniel Jones and Leada Morrison Jones; sisters Sarah “Skippy” Lipscomb and Correne Jones; daughter Janice Brown Wood; granddaughter Jana Wood; and grandson Wyatt Osman. Pallbearers will be Ty Osman, Colt Osman, Steven Howard, Eric Patenaude, Greg Henry, Will Arnwin, Harold Howard, and Kai Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons Caulder Bo Patenaude, Jones Rollins, and Ames Rollins. Faye was a woman of many talents and interests whose strong work ethic carried her through a variety of careers. She first retired from the textile industry where she served on the executive board for Amalgamated Clothing Workers, and just last year Arlie retired for the second time from the position she was most passionate about, serving clients as the owner of S&A Caregivers. Throughout her life she wore many hats, working as a wedding and event planner, photographer, developer of crime scene photographs for law enforcement, cosmetologist, and co-owner of A&S Antiques. Her versatility, dedication, mischievous nature, and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Faye was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church where she was active in the Legacy Senior Group, and she loved her Sunday School class members. Because of Arlie’s 4th of July birthdate, her passionate temperament, and the fact that she always added her own special “flare” to every family gathering, her nieces Marilyn, Suddie, and Deb Lipscomb nicknamed her Aunt “Firecracker Faye.” The family would like to offer a special thank you to Anita Brown for her excellent care of Arlie. The family would also like to thank Dr. Michael Hanna, Nurse Sharon Taylor, Enhabit Hospice Company, especially Carson Wills, Dr. Glaze, Dr. Rayburn, and sitters Roxie Teague, Robin Banks, and Elysea Groce.
