Jewel Dean Cooper Haynes was born into this world on March 6, 1935, the last of nine children in the family of Willie T. and Retta Holmes Cooper. Ms. Haynes passed from this earth on March 15, 2021 at the age of 86. Ms. Haynes is survived by a son; Joe F. (and Karen) Haynes of Munford, two daughters; Beverly Howell of Hoover and Debbie Stewart of Munford, 5 grandchildren; Joey (and Kristen) Haynes, Will Haynes, Ben Gallahair, Tim (and Amber) Gallahair and Summer Howell, 10 great-grandchildren; Kristen and Karley Stewart, Sadie and Sam Haynes, Landon, Sophie and Brooklyn Gallahair, John Thomas Haynes and Rylan and Rhett Gallahair, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Willie Thomas and Retta Holmes Cooper, three brothers and five sisters and her husband of 63 years, Joe E. Haynes. Funeral services for Ms. Haynes will take place on Friday, March 19th at 230 PM at the Munford Church of Christ in Munford, AL with Ministers Jeff Clark, Shane Clark and Joey Haynes officiating. Visitation will be from 1230 PM-230 PM in the auditorium of the Munford Church of Christ on Friday prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford. Pallbearers will be; grandsons, George Jackson and Andy Collett. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jimmy Wynn, Jimmy Gallahair, Jerry Cooper, Jay Cooper, Ralph Haynes and Roy Bean, Jr. Ms. Haynes was a homemaker. She lived the majority of her life in Munford and was a longtime member of the Munford Church of Christ. She was a beautiful person who possessed a kind spirit and a loving heart with a little dash of sass. She welcomed all into her home but was most grateful for the company of her family. She loved her husband, was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved God, her family and her friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank the doctors who have provided care for Ms. Haynes over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rainbow Omega (100 Hope Dr. Eastaboga, AL 36260) and at Ms. Haynes’s request, please dress comfortably if you plan to attend the funeral. In accordance with state regulations in regard to COVID-19, those in attendance will be asked to properly wear a face mask and social distance.
