Donald Warren Reaves

Oxford, Al. - Donald Warren Reaves, 52, was born on July 2, 1970 in Anniston, Alabama. Warren attended Oxford High School where he lettered in varsity football, basketball and baseball. Warren was an outstanding linebacker on the 1988 Oxford State Championship Football Team. After graduation, Warren attended the University of North Alabama, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He then transferred to play third base and switch hit at Gadsden State. Warren was a devoted member of Lakeview Baptist Church throughout his whole life. Warren lived his adult life in Oxford, AL. His proudest accomplishment in life was being the dad to Ceilia Aline Reaves. Warren has fought the good fight and won the race as a faithful servant of God. Warren passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Warren is known for his love of the game of golf, watching his many hummingbirds, loved gardening, playing church softball, snow skiing, watching the Atlanta Braves and cooking. He was a devoted son and friend to all who knew him. Loved ones that will miss Warren until they meet again are his daughter, Ceilia Reaves, his mother, Ellen Ireland (Gene); his brother, Scotty Reaves; step-sister, Stacy Lane; aunts and uncles, Jerry Reaves Johnson (Lamar), Elaine Bouder, Sandra Shoultz (Charlie); great aunts, Barbara Goodman and Sue Strickland; cousins, Angie, David, Laurie, Josh, Jerry, Michael, Lauren, Erica, Alyssa, and their children. Loved ones that cleared the path for Warren were his dad, Donnie Ray Reaves, grandparents, David and Elois Bowen, and Floyd and Coleen Reaves, and his uncle, Wayne Reaves. HIs funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2022, at Lakeview Baptist Church with Buddy Nelson officiating. Warren’s family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, also at Lakeview Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Scotty Reaves, Jason Brabham, Bryan “Woody” Woodall, Bryan Dempsey, Chris Randall, and Revy Higgins.
